Eco Committee
We are a team of children from Years 1-6 who are passionate about looking after the nature in our school area and doing our bit to improve the environment!
OUR PLAN FOR THIS YEAR
We are focusing on 3 key areas:
TRANSPORT:
We will work to reduce our use of fossil fuels and the amount we send to landfill by making more sustainable choices in how we travel, use energy, and consume products.
BIODIVERSITY:
We will create new habitats around our school to support wildlife and help boost native biodiversity.
GLOBAL CITIZENSHIP:
We will educating our pupils and wider school community about the impact of climate change and the steps we can take to reduce it.
NEWS UPDATE:
Our Eco team in Years 4-6 made it outside today (22nd April) and visited our vibrant pond area. It was great to see it thriving and so full of life! We spotted marsh marigolds growing, as well as great crested newts and ramshorn snails. We also look forward to seeing how our pond changes when the many eggs we spotted hatch.
DON’T FORGET!
18th 22nd May is Walk to School Week!
