Southcote Primary School Soaring to Success

Uniform Information

We aim to make our school uniform as affordable as possible.

 

Please ensure that all items of clothing are named.

 

School Uniform:
 
  • Bottle green sweatshirt or cardigan (optional school logo)
  • White blouse/shirt/polo shirt (optional school logo)
  • Black/grey/green skirt, pinafore or black/grey trousers
  • Black sensible school shoes (no high heels, no coloured trainers)
  • Black, grey, green or white tights/socks

 

Summer:

 

  • Green and white checked dress
  • White polo shirt (optional school logo)
  • Black/grey shorts
  • White or black sandals/black sensible school shoes (no high heels, no coloured trainers) 
  • Black, grey, green or white tights/socks (socks/tights must still be worn with sandals)

 

 

For summer months we ask all parents to ensure their child has a hat, preferably with a neck shield, and also has applied sun screen before coming to school

 

For winter months we ask all parents to ensure their child has a coat, winter hat, gloves and a scarf.

 

Please ensure that all items of clothing are named.

 

P.E. Kit

 

All children must take part in P.E lessons, if your child is unable to take part due to ill health please inform the school in writing.  

 

Children come to school wearing their PE kit on their PE day.

 

 Indoor P.E

 

  • Plain white T-shirt
  • Black shorts
  • Plimsoles (not trainers)

 

Outdoor P.E

 

  • Plain white t-shirt
  • Black shorts 
  • Black tracksuit bottoms (when required)
  • Trainers
  • For outdoor PE and colder weather, pupils should wear their Southcote green school jumper or fleece only. Black hoodies, sports tops and other non-uniform items should not be worn please.

 

Swimming Kit (for Year 3 onwards)

 

  • Swimming costume/trunks
  • Towel
  • Swimming hat (may be purchased from the School Office)
  • Plimsoles or Flip-flops

 

Jewellery

 

For health and safety reasons children are not allowed to wear jewellery to school. Children are allowed to wear a wrist watch. If your child has had their ears pierced they may wear small plain studs only.  Earrings must be removed or taped over during P.E, please supply your child with tape.  No make-up or nail varnish is allowed.

 

Hair

 

We ask that parents ensure sensible hairstyles without colouring or inappropriate motifs.  Long hair must be tied back.
